Sunset by the Opera

Sunset by the Opera

There is no other spot in Vienna like the Operahouse – it’s classy, it’s timeless, it’s inspiring, it’s gorgeous. A sunset by the Opera is so dreamy, a client of mine was once so impressed and told me … “The Opera is like a sunset in itself.”

Right around the time of sunset, some magic happens. I don’t know if the building was built that way or if it’s just a coincidence but the lights and colors create a fairytale mood with purple hues and pink shadows it’s just a must in Vienna.

No doubt, one of the most famous spots for photos in Vienna is the view of the Operahouse from the Albertina balcony. For the extra romantic feeling go there about 20 minutes before sunset to still have enough time to enjoy it and catch the magical hour. In the following 30 minutes after sunset, it’s just so unique.

I was recently reminded of a few photos we took during this time right after New Year’s that I haven’t shared much. I had so many photoshoots there over the holidays that I realized I don’t have any photos of myself so that’s how the idea came. And by the way, I am totally loving the color combo of my outfit and the background – pink and silver always work.

Here are my favorite photos.

Magnolia Portraits

Magnolia Portraits

It’s that magical time of the year again. I don’t mean Christmas time, I mean the season when magnolias trees bloom. I wasn’t always aware of the extreme beauty of these flowers, nor their photogenic qualities, but once I discovered them, they are a must-do photo theme in spring. I love everything about spring in Vienna, but the magnolias are something special.

We decided to do a fairy-themed photoshoot with soft, pink professional makeup and a tulle dress for that extra wow effect. Go check out my posts on IG @just_addsparkles to discover the team behind the photoshoot.

Here are my favorite, dreamy captures from the photoshoot.

Late November

Late November

Autumn is such a beautiful time with its colorful leaves, warm sunset light, and cozy atmosphere. From mid-September to the end of November we enjoy the best of this season. Now with the temperatures dropping and the first snow at our doorsteps, the autumn foliage season is coming to an end and I felt the best way to celebrate it is by taking some dreamy, vineyard pictures. I adore that moody atmosphere, the colors, the light, all of it. Enjoying the last days of November with nature walks, hot tea, and cozy evenings I feel I am all ready to move to a Christmas mood.

Autumn sunset

Autumn sunset

I love autumn photoshoots at golden hour, especially capturing romantic moments and love stories. We had a lovely walk in nature right when the sun started to set, and we enjoyed that wonderful atmosphere with the sun turning the vineyards golden and warming our hearts and souls.

We stayed right up to the blue hour where we also took just a few photos when the sun was already gone. It was a magical time and we enjoyed it so much.

I love that golden and heart-melting mood. Here are my favorite photos from that day.

Summer in Vienna

Summer in Vienna

Summer is a great time in Vienna, despite the temperatures getting close to 40 degrees sometimes it’s still a wonderful season, full of flowers, colors, and inspiration.

I wanted to capture the city’s bright, optimistic, and happy summer mood, so we met with the lovely Gabi to create some summer content and enjoy the summer afternoon on some of the most picturesque Viennese streets.

Here are some of my favorite photos.

Summer romance

Summer romance

Summer is the time of long walks in nature, field picnics, bird songs, star gazing, and romance. I love all seasons because they all have their beauty and uniqueness, freshness and charm. Summer for me has always been a time for getting in touch with nature, feeling one with the Universe, and sharing special and magical moments. That kind of moments that make you dream and feel like part of a fairytale, like there’s just some wonder surrounding you, and life is a miracle again. These are the kind of moments I love. And that’s a moment we captured recently, a romantic evening in nature, sharing laughs and memories, being silly, dancing and looking at the sky, walking into the sunset, and waiting for the first star to rise.
